Pictures. I was wondering which cultures where the wedding bands on the left, and which wear it on the right. Couples in countries such as colombia, germany, parts of spain and venezuela, typically wear the wedding band on the right hand.

During the wedding ceremony the bride puts her engagement ring temporarily on their right hand. Swedish engagement and wedding rings are invariably on the left hand ring finger, maybe unless you're an immigrant from some exotic cultural environment. Maybe it stems from ancient rome, where people used to have rings on all 5 fingers of their hand. An engagement ring and wedding band receive less wear than if worn on the dominant hand.
